Fear of The LORD
The Servant of The Most High GOD, must have the "Fear of the Lord." This fear causes us to reverence GOD and understand that we serve an "Almighty," "All Powerful GOD." This fear should cause us to think about everything we do or say. The true Servant of GOD will not just say anything they want to say or do anything they want to do. A man that does this does not fear GOD. This man will allow self or the enemy to use him. We must realize that we will give an account for every idle word we speak. We must also realize the damage we can do with our tongue (James 3:5 - 10).
Many will speak or teach incorrectly and will not go back to correct what they have said or taught even when they find they are in error. This is pride and arrogance and these are things that GOD hates (Proverbs 6:16 - 19). What is wrong with saying " I don't know the answer, but I will research it and get back with you." James 3:1, says "My brethren, be not many Masters knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation." We should want to speak the Word or teach the Word correctly, if we are GOD's Servant. The Fear of The LORD, will keep me from saying and doing many things (things that are not of GOD, also evil). When this fear has been instilled in us and becomes a part of our very being, then can we teach the "Children of GOD," The Fear of the LORD and how to live as Christ.
We should always keep in mind, that if no one else sees or hears us GOD does. He knows our very thoughts! David said "Where can I go?' "If I go to the deep, he is there." We should never want to be out of GOD's presence. "Bringing into subjection every high imagination, and everything that exalteth itself against the knowledge of GOD. This is the Fear of The LORD!
