Hear what “The Spirit” hath to say! Many do not understand this Spiritual relationship and therefore go about to serve GOD the way they think it should be (with their flesh, and their own understanding) and not according to the Word of GOD (Prov. 14:12 - There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death). In order to have a relationship with GOD you must first of all be “Born Again.” Born of the “Water” and of the “Spirit” (John 3:3 - 5).
When we are “Born Again,” there is a Spiritual rebirth that must and has to have taken place (If any man be in Christ he is a new creature, old things hath passed away, behold all things become new). Paul speaks of the old man being buried (water baptism, Romans 6:4 - 6) and the new man coming up from the watery grave and now walking in The “Newness of Life” (Born again). We are now a “Spiritual Being,” and if so we should now be led by the ‘Spirit of GOD/Holy Ghost. In order to do this, we must have The Spirit of GOD in us (born of The Spirit).
GOD is not interested in your flesh (Romans 8:8 - So then they that are in the flesh cannot please GOD. 1 Cor 15:50 - Flesh and blood shall not inherit The Kingdom of GOD!). GOD is interested in your spirit (the spirit that is in a man). It is the spirit that will be quickened (John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth, the flesh profiteth nothing), not the flesh. If any man hath not the Spirit of GOD, he is none of his. When we are “Born Again,” we are born into a Spiritual Family; GOD being “The Head,” and Jesus Christ being the “First” born of many brethren. Christ was born of the Spirit/Holy Ghost (and not of the flesh, or by man), and if we are to be a part of this Spiritual Family, we must also be born of the Spirit/Holy Ghost. A spiritual rebirth must take place at some point in our life. Many are trying to serve GOD in this flesh and you can’t. If you have The Spirit of GOD in you, you can serve GOD, anywhere, anytime. The Word says; GOD is a “Spirit,” and those that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). To worship and serve GOD in Spirit and in Truth means wherever GOD sends me by myself (Korea, Iraq, Germany, etc..), I can still serve GOD and not go to the left hand or to the right because I understand that GOD is with me and I am being led by his Spirit. Our Brother David said, “yea though I walk through the valley of Shadow of Death, I will fear no evil for thou art with me!” He knew that GOD was with him, and when we have the Spirit of GOD dwelling in us, GOD is with us also.
Sometimes we miss what our relationship with GOD is all about. Solomon, whom GOD had blessed greatly, came to the understanding of what the whole duty of man is (Eccl 12:13 - Fear GOD and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man). We don’t fear GOD when we do anything we want to do and say anything we want to say? GOD has given us three things to do in this life, Please GOD, Serve GOD and Glorify GOD. Many have reversed this and are about to serve man, please man and be glorified of man. Enoch walked with GOD and was not because GOD took him. His relationship was so close to GOD, that GOD took him. How? GOD has to be first and foremost in our life. We must be seeking to walk in the Kingdom of GOD daily. If we are led by The Spirit of GOD, we will recognize the wiles of the enemy (attacks and tricks) and see how he seeks to draw us out of “The Kingdom of GOD” (from being Spiritual) and back into the carnal (being carnally minded and focused on the things of this life, instead of being spiritual minded and focused on the things of GOD). This is where our relationship begins with GOD (walking in The Spirit and not in the flesh). Pray without ceasing? How do I do this? Constant communication with GOD (you don’t have to be on your knees 24/7, this is not what the Word is saying). In my spirit I am continually talking with GOD (in my mind and thoughts, talking with GOD). Acknowledge him in “all” thy ways and he will direct your paths (check in or ask GOD before you do it). If we are Spiritual and being “spiritual minded” we will yield to the Spirit and be led by the Spirit in all that we say and do. GOD is a Spirit, and those that worship him, must worship him in Spirit and in Truth (John 4:24). You must be spiritual in order to worship GOD. You must be spiritual (The Spirit of GOD dwelling in you) in order to see, hear, be led by, be taught by, enter the Kingdom of GOD, or to do anything in GOD. The natural man can’t do this (I Cor 2:14). The only relationship you have with GOD is in The Spirit. Many will not make it into The Kingdom of GOD because they didn’t have this spiritual relationship with GOD, nor did they have the Spirit of GOD dwelling in them (Matt 7:21 -23), Lord I cast out devils in your name, Lord I prophesied in your name. Depart from me ye that work iniquity, I never knew you). “Children of GOD,” make sure your relationship with GOD is Spiritual and that you are walking in the Spirit! Know ye not that The kingdom of GOD is within you!
