In order to serve "GOD" in the Spirit and to be led by the Spririt of GOD, you must be "Born Again (John 3:1 - 21)." When we are "Born Again," we are born into a "Spiritual Family," Christ being the First Born among many brethren. We must be born of the "Water" and of "The Spirit." This is the requirement that that the "Master (Jesus)" set (Jesus speaking with Nicodemus in John 3). There is no other requirement (no tarrying at the altar for the Holy Ghost, not speaking in tongues (a sign), nothing else. If this is the case, then where is "Faith." We receive Christ by Faith, can we not receive the Spirit of GOD by Faith also? To receive the "Spirit of GOD (Holy Ghost)," there is no other requirement.
How can you accept Jesus Christ as your LORD and Savior and not receive the Spirit of GOD at the same time? "For there are three that bear record in heaven, The Father, The Word (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one (I John 5:7)." If you receive Christ it is a package deal, if not "O Child of GOD," who are you then going forward in this walk, being led by, taught by, receiving from, if not by way of the Holy Spirit? If you receive Christ, then you are also receiving GOD the Father and the Holy Ghost. If you are "Born Again" then we will keep GOD's commandments (Walking in the Spirit, which allows us to also walk in the Kingdom of GOD). We serve GOD in Spirit and in truth (with our Spirit, being led by the Spirit of GOD), this is what Born Again is! Prior to being Born Again we were walking in our flesh, and not after the Spirit. "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the Flesh, but after the Spirit (Romans 8:1)." When we are "Born Again," we should be walking after and being led by, the Spirit of GOD.
